In un College americano lo studente Paxton Quiglei ha una relazione con la studentessa Toby Clinton, ma nel sottrarsi al suo tentativo di impegnarlo per la vita cade fra le braccia della intraprendente e focosa studentessa negra Juliet. Inoltre incappa in Gene Sara, una francesina "figlia dei fiori", afflitta da una quantità di complessi fasulli. Questa specie di harem clandestino gli rende complicata l'esistenza, anche perché si rende conto di amare Toby. Rimessosi in salute, Paxton raggiunte Toby e parte con lei.
